Pauline Ittner

Pauline Louise Ittner, age 83, departed this life Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center and went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior. Pauline was born July 8, 1928, in Honey Creek, the daughter of Edward M. and Orene R. Propst Engelbrecht. At only the age of three, her father died leaving her mother, Orene, to raise three young girls and a new baby boy. With Gods' help the family remained together. She was married on September 15, 1946, in Honey Creek to Walter J. Ittner, who preceded her in death on August 25, 1990. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Pauline graduated from the Lutheran grade school in Honey Creek and attended Eugene and Jefferson City High Schools. Before becoming married, Pauline worked at Tweedies in Jefferson City. After marriage she became a loving and devoted mother to six children while helping her husband on the family dairy farm. Later when her husband went to work in town she also went and worked in town, working at Jefferson Bank for over 31 years. Pauline was also a loving and devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren, babysitting them often. In her spare time, Pauline enjoyed making flower garden quilts and afghans for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. But most of all she loved Jesus and enjoyed reading her Bible, especially in her retirement years. Pauline was a past member of Immanuel Lutheran church where she was a Ladies Aid member and Sunday School Teacher to three dear special needs children. She was also a past member of Peace Lutheran Church. Currently she was a member since 1990 at Faith Lutheran Church. Those who will miss Pauline until they meet her in Heaven again include: her children, Thomas (Lisa) Ittner, Janice Lehmen, Michael (Teresa) Ittner, Roger Ittner, Dianne (Michael) Turner, and Donald (Joyce) Ittner, all of Jefferson City; her grandchildren, Chad Ittner of St. Louis, Julie (John) Chappell of Cassville, Jessica Ittner (John Richardson) of Chicago, Stephanie (Richard) Goldammer of Denver, Michelle (Joseph) Hurster of St. Louis, Michael Lehmen of Springfield, Kylie Turner of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Rebecca Ittner of the Univerity of Missouri-Columbia, and Timothy Ittner of Jefferson City; great-grandchildren, Avery and Jack Chappell of Cassville, Haden and Benjamin Hurster of St. Louis, and Elizabeth Ittner Richardson of Chicago. Visitation will be at Faith Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Faith Lutheran Church with the Reverend Tony Alter officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Honey Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Words of Faith (Faith Lutheran Church), The Lutheran Hour, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
