Henrietta M. "Hank" Hotsenpiller, 80, of Jefferson City, died Monday, October 3, 2011, at St. Joseph's Bluffs in Jefferson City. She was born January 23, 1931, in St. Louis, a daughter of Henry Paul and Madeline Wolf Hoffmeister. She attended St. Joseph Central High School in St. Joseph, and Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. Hank was very artistic. She enjoyed painting, tropical fish, tropical plants, collecting Fiesta dishes, southwestern jewelry, knitting, crocheting, embroidering and playing games. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Capital City Christian Church. On July 26, 1953, Hank was united in marriage to Gene Hotsenpiller, who survives at their home. Other survivors include two sons: Steve Hotsenpiller and wife Anita of Holts Summit, and Michael Hotsenpiller and wife Lisa of Lowell, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Megan, Jared and Matthew Hotsenpiller; one sister: Sally Kay Tayloe of Valley Park; and a brother-in-law: Donald Glenn Hotsenpiller and wife Jane of Oakton, Virginia. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. John Tarbet officiating. Entombment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Capital City Christian Church Building Fund or Hospice Compassus.
