Missy Joy Lueckenotte, 74, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born October 6, 1937, in Hannibal, the daughter of P. J. and Isora Lee (Baldwin) Butler. he was a 1955 graduate of Monroe City High School. On September 18, 1958, Missy was married in Monroe City to Paul V. Mudd, who survives in Monroe City. On January 2, 1981, she was united in marriage in St. Louis to Ken Lueckenotte, who survives at their home. Missy was an airline stewardess for Capital Airlines, based out of Washington, D.C.; worked for the Mark Twain Regional Planning Commission and Farmers Elevator both of Monroe City; and worked for the Missouri Department of Agriculture for 16 years until her retirement in 1997 as administrative assistant to the State Veterinarian. She was a member of Meadow Lake Acres Country Club and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Missy loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them in sporting events. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies and was an avid dog lover. Missy and Ken enjoyed traveling around the country on their Gold Wing motorcycle and traveled to 46 states, logging over 100,000 miles the past eight years. Other survivors include two sons, Dusty Mudd and Paul B. Mudd, both of Jefferson City, and four grandchildren: Anthony, Logan, Natalie and Daniel. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Carter and Rev. Steve Webb officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the First Christian Church of Jefferson City, American Cancer Society or Callaway Hills Animal Shelter.
