Mrs. Janet Allen Hartsfield, age 54 years, of New Bloomfield, Mo., died Friday, October 14, 2011, at her home. Janet was born November 20, 1956, in Mount Vernon, Washington, the daughter of Arnold S. and Faith Mitchell Allen. She was married on June 27, 1981, in Edmonds, Washington to the Reverend David E. Hartsfield. Janet graduated from Edmond High School and Whitman College. She received a Masters in Accounting from Truman State University in 1994. A resident of the central Missouri area for the past five years, Janet was employed as a Program Assistant with the Missouri School of Religion in Jefferson City. Previously, she was employed as an Assistant Director with the State of Colorado Office of Energy Conservation and as the Executive Director of the Northeast Missouri Community Action Agency. Survivors include: one son, Noah Hartsfield and his wife Abigail of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter, Aisha Hartsfield of Moberly, Mo.; one brother, Arnold Allen and his wife Sheri of Vancouver, Washington; and one sister, Barbara Allen Diaz and her husband David of Kensington, California. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011, at 2444 County Road 4042 in Holts Summit, Mo. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. with the Reverend Lynn Dyke officiating.
