Willena Ringo Hutchison

Mrs. Willena Ringo Hutchison, age 88 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Friday, November 4, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. Willena was born January 28, 1923, in Palatka, Ark., the daughter of Lawrence and Effie Mullholland Crook. She was married to James D. Ringo, who preceded her in death in 1947. She was later married to Roy E. Hutchison, who survives. A resident of the Jefferson City area for the past 20 years, Willena attended Diehlstadt High School, Diehlstadt, Mo. A homemaker, Willena was a true matriarch of her family and always kept them together. She loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Central United Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. She was a resident at Adams Street Place for the past two years and appreciated all the care and friendships she received there. Survivors include one son, Roy L. Hutchison and his wife Donna of Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Linda Ringo of Jefferson City, Mo. and Clarissa A. Denkler and her husband Joe of Jefferson City, Mo.; three sisters, Nancy Ahrent of Fayetteville, Ark., Patsy Lockwood and her husband Bob of Corning, Ark., and Kathryn Cavitt and her husband Eugene of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren, Lindsay Ringo and his wife Shelly, Robin Bower, Leeann Ringo, Aaron Hutchison and his wife Meritt, and Hannah Denkler; and five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James; one son, Lindsay Camp Ringo; and one brother, Robert Wesley Whitehead. Visitation will be at the Central United Church of Christ from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2011. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2011, at the Central United Church of Christ with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Buchholz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson City High School Scholarship Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary. www.freemanmortuary.com
