Mr. Paul Marvin Pack, age 73 years, a former Jefferson City resident, died Monday, May 23, 2011, at the Four Seasons Nursing Center, Sedalia, Mo. Marvin was born July 1, 1937 in Chamois, Mo., the son of Paul Henry and Virginia Thompson Pack. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Marvin was employed with the Tweedie Footwear Factory, with the Fausell Cleaners, and later with Tergin Cleaners. Marvin attended Solid Rock Church. He enjoyed playing the piano and organ and collecting kerosene lamps. Survivors include: three sisters, Geneva Sontag of Morrison, Mo., Viola Sanders of Stockbridge, Ga., and Myrna Smith and her husband Leonard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Elston Pack and his wife Gloria of Parkville, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great- nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, LaVerne Rice and Helen Rippstein. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Lowell Perkins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to First Assembly of God.
