Victor Arthur Pierce, age 56, of Vienna, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011, in Vienna. He was born on April 7, 1954, in Salzburg, Austria, a son of Vernon Clare and Tsuruko (Ann) (Mineno) Pierce. Mr. Pierce was united in marriage on June 29, 2006, at Lamar, to Mary Evelyn (Carter) Honse. He was a 1972 graduate of Maries R-1 High School. Victor had most recently worked in the mailroom for the Missouri Department of Revenue. He was employed by Weidinger Chevrolet for many years, co-owner of the Collision Center in Vienna until it was destroyed by fire in the early 1990's, and a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, arrowhead hunting, spending time with his many friends, working in his yard and making a "home" for his two best girls. He had a soft side that was revealed only to those closest to him. Victor approached everything in life with patience, commitment, loyalty and integrity. He valued old friendships and never undertook a project without first seeking the wisdom and guidance of others. Victor will be greatly missed by his wife, Mary Pierce, of the home near Vienna, and his "Little Princess," Ariel Ann Pierce, of the home near Vienna. Others left to mourn him include: four step-sons, Joseph Honse and wife Ginger, Bentonville, Arkansas, John Honse and wife Angela, Chesterfield, Zachary Honse and special friend Kara McKinnon, Vienna, and Levon Ingram, Austin, Texas; one brother, Jeffrey Pierce, Spokane, Washington; two step-sisters, Naomi Mayekawa, Overland Park, Kansas and Beverly Marchione, Burbanks, California; two grandchildren, Abigail Honse and Benjamin Honse; and many other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Pierce at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011, in the First Baptist Church, Vienna with Joe Honse officiating. Interment will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Ariel Pierce Educational Fund with envelopes available at the Vienna office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. All arrangements are under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
