Frederic "Fred" Herbert Harms, 61, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1949, in Evanston, Illinois, a son of the late Frederic Elvin and Shirlee Marie (Stempel) Harms. He was a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Fred was Vice President of State Beauty Supply. He was an avid scuba diver, enjoyed riding bikes on the Katy Trail, and hiking. He loved his children and his work. Fred is survived by three children: Cole Harms, Caroline Harms and Christopher Harms, all of Ballwin, Missouri; his fiancÈe: Debbie Stelter of the home; and one brother: Scott Harms of Crest Hill, Illinois. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Fr. Brendan Doyle officiating.
