Justin Tyler Roller, age 27 years, of Jefferson City, was taken to heaven on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, while he was in the care of the University Hospital. He was born on June 30, 1984 in Clarksville, Tenn., the son of Byron and Kathy (Wilson) Roller. Justin was a Boy Scout and had earned his Eagle Scout with Troop 11 in 2001. He graduated in 2002 from Jefferson City High School. His love of cooking led him to work at and manage various restaurants in Jefferson City and Columbia. He was most recently a mechanical engineering student at the University of Missouri and worked for Textbooks.com. Justin was kind, generous and had a huge heart. He touched the hearts of all who knew him. He was very close to his many friends and family and was willing to help and support them at anytime of the day or night. Justin's quiet and compassionate nature brought people closer together. Survivors include: his parents, Byron and Kathy Roller of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Brandon Roller and wife Amy of Naples, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Wilson of Jefferson City, Mo.; paternal grandfather, Bob Roller of Hallsville, Mo.; five aunts, Linda Fries and husband Larry of Lewisburg, Kan., Robin Evers and husband Ed of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Cindy Williams of Sedalia, Mo., Melinda Skutnick of Raytown, Mo., and Terri Adair of Sedalia, Mo.; one uncle, Scott Wilson and wife Connie of Flower Mound, Texas; six cousins, Sarah Berry and husband Ric of Irving, Texas, Jessica Wilson of Flower Mound, Texas, Kendal Fries of Lewisburg, Kan., Nicole Jacks and husband Capt. Bill of Colorado Springs, Colo., Staff Sgt. David Thompson of Alamagordo, N.M., Aaron Thompson and wife Brittany of Sedalia, Mo.; and many other close extended family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Wilson; maternal grandmother, Delores Warfield; and paternal grandmother, Joyce Craig. Visitation will be held at Concord Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Saturday, August 20, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Concord Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Red Cross to continue his efforts to help others.
