Donnell Gregory Coleman, 27, of Columbia, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. He was born on December 17, 1983, in Columbia, Mo. to Beverly Coleman and Gregory Holmes. Donnell was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. He accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized on March 28, 1999. Donnell graduated from High School in 2002, where he was on the wrestling and football teams. He enjoyed spending time with family and his children. Donnell is survived by his five children: Donnell Coleman Jr., of St. Louis, Mo., Jaychevionte Brown, Eawaun Brown, Donnell Coleman III, and Devont'e Gregory Coleman, all of Columbia, Mo.; his two stepchildren: DÈtrianna Jameson and Kamora Wilder from Columbia, Mo.; his mother: Beverly Stapleton; father: Gregory Holmes; step-father: Robert Stapleton, and grandmother: Juanita Holmes, all of Columbia, Mo.; two great-aunts: Ruth Johnson of California, Mo. and Hattie Coleman of Columbia, Mo.; six aunts: Pam Coleman and Bernadette Coleman of Atlanta, Ga., Patricia Holmes, Karen Matthews, Vicky Holmes and Diana Holmes, all of Columbia, Mo.; eight uncles: Dewight Coleman and Dewayne Coleman of Jefferson City, Mo., Frank Days of St. Louis, Mo., Rev. James Holmes, Keith Holmes, James Peal, Marvin Holmes and William Holmes, all of Columbia, Mo.; one cousin: Constance Coleman of Atlanta, Ga. and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends. Donnell is preceded in death by his daughter: Aryanna Coleman; grandmother: Rose Mary Coleman; grandfather: James Peal, and an uncle: Charles Coleman. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2011, at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo., where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gordon Coleman officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
