Joseph Bryan "Red" Windsor, 75, of Holts Summit, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, at his home. He was born March 27, 1935, in Holts Summit, a son of George Wayne and Jeanette Dwight (Dearing) Windsor. He attended Gravel Elementary School in Holts Summit. Red was a member of Carpenters Local 945 for over 30 years until his retirement in 2010 and worked for Sam Gaines Construction. He enjoyed driving trucks, telling jokes and laughing, spending time with family and friends, and lovingly giving the waitresses a hard time at his favorite local restaurants. On July 4, 1971, Red was united in marriage in Palmyra to Linda Biggs, who survives. Other survivors include three sons: Rick Moore of Oxnard, Calif., Lee Windsor (De Aubra) of Russellville, Chris Windsor (Pam Long) of Holts Summit; one daughter, Judy Windsor of New Bloomfield; one brother, George Wayne Windsor (Evelyn) of Holts Summit; eight grandchildren; and close friends, Marty Wilson and Crystal Wilson Rackers. He was preceded in death by a sister, Francis McKinney. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Summit Memorial Park.
