Billy Darrell Huskey, age 71, of Auxasse, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at his home.
He was born March 13, 1939, a son of the late Alonzo Columbus Huskey and Rose Lea (Handley) Huskey. On September 18, 1981, he was united in marriage to Joan (Hoffman) Huskey. She survives at their home. Billy was a farmer and a fence builder. He had worked for 15 years for ABB Manufacturing in Jefferson City. He enjoyed hunting and raising chickens and ducks. He was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fulton where he taught Sunday school and did maintenance of the Church property. In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by seven children: Matthew Hetzel of Loveland, Colorado, Eddie Huskey of Jefferson City, Missouri, Lisa Sparks of Bachelor, Missouri, John Huskey of Auxvasse, Missouri, James Huskey of Fulton, Missouri, Michael Huskey of Bachelor, Missouri and Darrell Huskey of La Plata, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Madelyn Macintosh, Sharon Sales and Carolyn Fortenberry, all of Arkansas, and Earlene Eickhorst of Hermitage, Missouri; two brothers, Phillip Huskey and Johnny Huskey both of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Joey Huskey; one grandson, Lance Cpl. Cody Alan Sparks; one granddaughter, Amber Rose Smith; one great-grandson, Simon Peter Smith; one brother, Donnie Huskey; and two sisters, Virgie Sullivan and Evelyn Miller. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the First Assembly of God Church in Fulton, Missouri, with Reverend Mike Haldeman officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church. Interment will be at the Harmony Cemetery in Bachelor, Missouri.
