Lillian Kemp-Cho

Lillian Maxine Kemp-Cho, 67, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at St. Mary's Health Center.
She was born on September 29, 1942, in Mexico, Mo., the daughter of the late Chauncey and Helen Gertrude Clark Scott. She was married in Denver, Colorado, to Earl D. Kemp who survives. A homemaker all her life, Lillian worked for Chesebrough-Ponds, and Home Health Care. She was a member of St. Michaels Church and Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church where she volunteered her time for both churches, and NAACP. Lillian also volunteered for the Salvation Army as a bell ringer during the holidays, and Habitat For Humanity. She enjoyed drawing, reading, singing and dancing, sewing, cooking, and basketball.
Other survivors include: Marilyn Jones, Kansas City, Mo.; Debbie (Michael) White, Jefferson City; Abigail Glover, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry Scott, Bell, Mo. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chauncey Scott Jr., and Glenn Scott.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Quinn Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Margaret Redmon, Pastor Thomas McAdams, Pastor Harold Molden, and Pastor Paul Connors officiating. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, May 22, at the church. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2413 Hyde Park Rd., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
