David Lee Williams, 55, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, at the Centerpoint Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born July 4, 1954, in Fulton, Missouri, a son of the late Norris and Ola (Branch) Williams. He was a 1972 graduate of New Bloomfield High School. Dave currently worked at Auto Now in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Dave enjoyed fishing, Missouri Tiger sports and NASCAR, but his favorite was spending time with family and friends. He is survived by a sister: Debbie Vaughan (husband Kenny) of Holts Summit; a brother: Jim Williams (wife Sharon) of Lee's Summit; a sister: Renee O'Neil (husband Michael) of Kansas City; two nieces; five nephews; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; and two step-children. He was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew: Mitch Vaughan; two grandmothers and two grandfathers. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Interment will be private for the family at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fulton. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
