Lola Baker, 87, of California, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at her residence.
Lola was born on May 21, 1922, in Moniteau County, the daughter of Kelly and Ollie (Jackson) Hampton, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on September 25, 1940, to Carl Baker, who preceded her in death on July 6, 1980. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her yard and home. She is survived by one daughter: Phyllis Martin of California; three grandsons: Randy Martin and wife Karen, Ronnie Martin and Rusty Martin; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, and one son-in-law: Larry Martin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11, at 12:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California. Burial will be in Annunciation Catholic Cemetery in California. Officiating will be Mr. Jack Bowlin. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 11, from 10:00 a.m. n 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Annunciation Catholic Cemetery fund or to donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, in California.
