Georgia Vern Clark, age 82, of Versailles, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at her home.
Georgia was born October 25, 1927, in Versailles, the daughter of the late Earl and Vern Buzan Daniels. On October 12, 1947, she was united in marriage to Jack W. Clark, who preceded her in death on December 13, 2005. Jack and Georgia owned and operated Clark's Tire Company in Versailles for many years. She was a member of the Versailles Westminster Presbyterian Church and a 60 year member of the Versailles O.E.S. Chapter #410. She enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress for many years. She also enjoyed collecting angels and has a collection of over 300. She is survived by two sons, Bill Clark and wife Sharon, and Barry Clark and wife Misty, both of Versailles; two daughters, Barbara Slevin and husband Pat of Jefferson City, and Becky Bullard and husband Steve of Versailles; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Daniels and wife Mary, Tom Daniels and wife Linda, and Jack Daniels and wife Kay, all of Versailles; two sisters, Dora Dunnaway and husband Jim of Independence, and Peggy Schilb and husband Enslie of Tampa, Florida; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Grace Daniels, Frances Campbell, and Altifia Barber. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 5, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church with Pastor Diane Miller officiating. Entombment will follow in the Clark Mausoleum in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with an Eastern Star service beginning at 4:45 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Versailles O.E.S. Chapter #410, the Westminster Presbyterian Church, or to the Missouri River Hospice. Expressions of sympathy may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.
