Alline Utyro

unknown - unknown

Alline A. Utyro, 90, of Superior, Wis., died Monday, June 14, 2010, at Golden Living Center, Superior, Wis.
She was born May 27, 1920, in Wardsville, Mo., daughter of Ben and Dorothea (Schwaller) Prenger. The youngest of 12 children, Alline met her "soldier boy" Joe, who was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. They corresponded throughout the war and were married upon his return in 1945. Alline was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church, Coffee Club Girls, and was a volunteer for the week-day noon luncheons held at the church. She was the consummate church basement lady. Along with her friends from Holy Assumption, Alline was always there to assist with weddings, funerals, fundraisers, etc. She seldom said, "No", to volunteer work, even as her health was failing. Along with church activities and raising her five kids, Alline enjoyed needlepoint and knitting. Survivors include her daughters, Mary (Richard) Russom, Superior, Wis. and Anne Utyro, St. Paul, Minn.; sons, Greg (Charlene) Utyro, Superior, Wis. and Mark (Majel) Utyro, Solon Springs, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Joseph; son, Daniel; granddaughter, Gina; sisters, Helen (Emil) Vanloo, Lavinia Prenger, Marie (Ray) Vanloo, Leona (Fred) Markway, Lucille (Louis) Landwehr, Stella (Harold) Schrimpf, Irene (Arthur) Kliethermes, Anastasia (Nelson) Barnhouse and Amelia (Howard) Basham; and brothers, Charles (Joanne) Prenger and George (Slyvia) Prenger. Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, today, Thursday, June 17, 2010. The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and the Mass will begin at 11 a.m., with Reverend Father Ronald Olson as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior, Wis.
