Davon Deonte Davis, 18, of Jefferson City, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born September 3, 1991, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Carlos Marshall and Sonia Davis. Davon was finishing his senior year at Jefferson City High School, where he was a member of the football, basketball and track teams. He loved to draw, listen to music and most of all, loved spending time with his daughter. He was a very good Father. He had also been employed with McDonald's and Arby's. Survivors include his daughter, Jaeda N. Davis; his father, Carlos Marshall of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Sonia Davis of Jefferson City; one sister, Kendra Davis of Jefferson City; one brother, Lavon Davis of Jefferson City (currently attending school in California); his grandmother, Diane Davis of Chicago, Illinois; and three aunts: Sylvia Smith of Chicago, Illinois, Tammy Smith of Jefferson City and April Davis of Chicago, Illinois; two nephews: Demarion Davis, and Brandon Chase, both of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tommy Lavon Davis. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
