Mabel Elizabeth "Bette" Pash, 92, of Holts Summit, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, at her home.
She was born on May 5, 1918, in Polo, Mo., the daughter of Marvin Q. and Mabel A. Blunt Forbes. She was married to Oliver Pash, who preceded her in death. Most of her life she lived in Virginia where she was a Drafts Person with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. She spent three years in South America while her husband worked for the Army Map Service. After their retirement they moved to Florida. Prior to moving to Holts Summit, Bette enjoyed golfing while living in Virginia and Florida. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was Catholic by faith. Survivors include: three nieces, Cheryl Lynne Abel of Festus, Debbie Boldt of Jefferson City, and Susie Pash of Austin, Texas; four nephews, Harry Kent Rich of Jefferson City, William "Skip" Rich of Ingram, Texas, Gregory Forbes Rich of Holts Summit, and James Oliver Rich of Kansas City, Mo. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Lynne Rich and Ethyl Eilene Forbes. Friends will be received today at the Slater-Millard Funeral Home from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Brendan Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery, Holts Summit. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
