Betty Sue Davis, age 75, of Jefferson City, Mo., formerly of Centertown, Mo., went home to be with the lord on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Capital Region Health Center, with her family by her side, letting her know that we are not saying goodbye Granny, we are saying "we will see you later!"
She was born July 31, 1934, in Bowlegs, Oklahoma, and was raised by her grandmother, Alice Satterfield, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Bowlegs high school in 1952. Betty was employed with Chesebrough Ponds in Jefferson City, Mo., and retired after 25 years of service. Betty loved taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family, she will be sadly missed. Survivors include: one son: Rick Clark with his wife Donna of Blue Jacket, Oklahoma; two daughters: Deanna Cannon of Warrensburg, Mo. and Deidra "DeDe" Garnett of Harrisburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Joseph Garnett, with his wife Michelle, Jessica Garnett, Jordan Garnett Lenox, with her husband Seth, Travis Clark, Dusty Clark, Nicole Clark with (peanut), and Theresa Clark Carpenter, with her husband Stanley; eight great-grandchildren; Kade, Tyler, Baylee, Rylee, Makyla, Malie, Myka, Greg, and Megan. Betty also has extended family in Stockton, California. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Edward Harris. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home in California, Mo. Memorial services will follow the visitation. The family will be hosting a dinner in Betty's honor on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Police, 508 Babe Ruth Drive, in Jefferson City, Mo. (Apache Flats). Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Arrangements are under the direction of Weber Funeral Home in California, Mo.
