Mr. Clarence G.F. Hager, age 96 years, of Henley, Mo., passed away Monday, January 4, 2010, at the Oak Tree Villa Nursing Center. Clarence was born February 7, 1913, in Henley, Mo., the son of William and Katharina Stroessner Hager. He was married on April 14, 1951, at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Honey Creek, Mo., to Irene F. Robinett, who survives at the home. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Clarence attended Immanuel Lutheran School at Honey Creek. He served in the United States Army during World War II. A lifelong farmer, Clarence was also employed with Roy Scheperle Construction Company for many years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Laborers Local No. 662. Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Irene Hager; one sister, Clara Robinett of Henley, Mo.; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Hager; one sister, Caroline Hager; one sister-in-law, Peggy Hager; and one brother-in-law, Paul Robinett. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek with the Reverend Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
