Arthur Eugene Baker II, 62, of Jefferson City, died Friday, August 6, 2010, at the Harry S Truman Veterans Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
He was born June 11, 1948, in Bonne Terre, the son of Arthur Eugene and Wilma Dennison Baker. He was a graduate of Lawton Senior High School in Lawton, Okla. Arthur served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was a self-employed contractor, specializing in remodeling work. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 513, American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.
Survivors include two daughters: Gloria Baker of Wardsville and Roberta Kucsik and husband Rick of Jefferson City; three grandchildren: Gabriel Baker, Olivia Kucsik, and Benjamin Kucsik; his companion: Shirley Boessen of Jefferson City, along with her mother Hilda Lauf of Jefferson City, and children Travis Boessen of Summerfield, Ill., Tracy Suggett and husband David of New Bloomfield, and their children, Shelby and Dustin; and two sisters: Sandra Dyer of Las Vegas, Nev., and Susan Baker of Jefferson City.
