Nora Mayme (Loesch) Propst, age 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Stringtown, Missouri on November 23, 1921 to Charles and Kate (Garrison) Loesch. Nora was confirmed in 1935 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church (Stringtown). She will be remembered for her dedication to her children and her fiercely independent spirit. She worked (dietician) at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, a dispatcher for Maries County Sheriff's Department, a caregiver for nine years, and owned/operated three Cameo Beauty Shops in St. Charles and O'Fallon communities in Missouri. Nora enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and keeping in touch with her family and friends on Facebook. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her four children, Patty (Kenneth) Schlote, Cecil Propst, Jacqueline Little, Rick (Shannon Stewart) Propst; 10 grandchildren, David, Debbie, Andy, Rebecca, Cindy, Suzanne, Jeremy, Samantha, Nathaniel, Lindsey; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Loesch; four sisters, Ada Jones, Jerene Bechtel, Shirley Wekamp, Georgia Sippel; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings, Mary McKinney, Norvel Loesch, Robert Loesch, Charlie Loesch, Truman Loesch, Donald Loesch, Vera Gilpin, and Leona Davis. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., September 21, 2019, at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery (Stringtown), Lohman, Mo., with the Rev. Brian Whittle officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow in the church parish hall.
