Paul Bradford Bergfeld, 72, of Holts Summit, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Westphalia Hills. He was born July 24, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Carl George and Mildred Lee (Denham) Bergfeld. Paul received his Bachelor's degree from St. Louis University in Criminal Justice. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was united in marriage on December 23, 1972, in Clayton, Missouri to Michelle Andrea Neal who preceded him in death on November 3, 2005. In November of 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Judith Susan Dill Avery who survives at the home. Paul worked for the Missouri Department of Probation and Parole. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, River City Habitat for Humanity, and HALO. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, blues music, and playing the guitar. Survivors include his wife, Judy Avery, Holts Summit; three step-children, Jonathan (Marne) Cuneio, New Bloomfield; Thomas (Jennifer) Cuneio, Lake St. Louis; Bonni Avery (Todd Bauman), Hillsboro, Mo.; six step-grandchildren, Amanda, Alex, Sarah, Jonah, Kiah, Charlie; one sister, Carol (Brian) Willian, Rochester Hills, Michigan; one great-niece, Kylie; and one great-nephew, Luke. Visitation will be 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a time for family and friends to share memories and stories at 5:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to River City Habitat for Humanity Tornado Relief Fund.
