Loretta Mae (Morris) Golden Leffert

Loretta Mae (Morris) Golden Leffert, 92, of Eldon, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon. She was born June 10, 1927 in Eldon, the daughter of the late James Jackson Morris and Mathilda "Tillie" Morris Cathcart. On January 12, 1946 in Kansas City, Kan., she was united in marriage to George Gail Golden, who preceded her on March 18, 1993. She then wed John Riley Leffert Sr. on October 11, 1998 in Eldon. He preceded her on August 18, 2007. Loretta was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #2442 of Eldon. She was mother to: Sons, Larry Gail Golden (deceased) and wife Venie, George Edward Golden and wife Cathy (deceased), Billy Gene Golden and wife Lora, all of Eldon; Robert Leroy Golden and wife Sherry of Jefferson City; step-Ssons, John R. Leffert Jr. and wife Debbie, William Dale Leffert and Ann Imhoff of Eldon, Larry Leffert (deceased) and wife Janis Leffert of Jefferson City; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; half brothers, James William Morris and David Lee Morris; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon. Funeral Service will be Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., also at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Bob Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett. Memorials in her name are suggested to Hospice Compassus or Eldon Meals On Wheels. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
