Imelda Smith

Imelda "Mellie" (Boffa) Smith, 91, of Tebbetts, Missouri, died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Oak Tree Villa in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born on January 11, 1928, in Rhineland, Mo. to Paul and Clara (Elsenrath) Boffa. Imelda married Glenn E. Smith on September 28, 1947, in Kirksville, Mo. Glenn preceded her in death in November of 2003. Glenn and Imelda had three children, Mike Smith and wife Barbara of Moscow Mills, Mo., Terry Smith and wife Debby of Loose Creek, Mo., and Linda (Smith) Baker and husband Steve of Rogersville, Mo. They had six grandchildren, Tom Baker, Rogersville, Mo., David Baker, Bonnots Mill, Mo., Nick Smith and Jessica Smith, both of Jefferson City, Mo., Daniel Smith, Columbia, Mo., and Sarah (Smith) Marvin of Lee's Summit, Mo. They also had 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo., with Kay Hord, officiating. Burial will follow at Mokane Cemetery in Mokane Mo. Memorial donations are suggested to Tebbetts United Methodist Church, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
