Denise Suzanne Ousley, age 67, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born March 28, 1952 in Los Angeles, Calif., a daughter of Richard Ousley and Lenora Regret-Scott. She was a graduate of Canoga Park High School and went on to become a L.P.N. working in nursing for many years until her retirement. Denise was always a happy soul and quick to laugh. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing her guitar, and loved a good joke. Holidays, particularly Christmas, were some of her favorite times, and she could always be found wearing a costume for just about any holiday to the delight of her patients. She cared for the elderly throughout her career and always had a heart for helping others. An avid fan of Disney and fairies, Disneyland was among Denises favorite places to spend a day, and she always loved the thrill of a good roller coaster. Like Snow White, Denise could almost always be heard whistling a happy tune while she worked or while doing just about anything else. Her optimism and cheerful demeanor always lifted the spirits of those around her. Denise is survived by her two children: Anthony Renauldo of Memphis, Tenn., and Christina Geist of Logandale, Nev.; her mother: Lenora Scott of Jefferson City; two siblings: Annette Stearns of Jefferson City, and Kevin Ousley of Bakersfield, Calif.; six grandchildren: Jeremy Renauldo, Veronica Renauldo, Sophie Renauldo, Morgan Geist, Tysen Geist, Carson Christian; and four great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date. Those wishing to send condolences to the family may do so at www.WoodsMemorialServices.com Arrangements are under the direction of TYLER M. WOODS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, 611 E. Capitol Ave., Jefferson City, MO 65101. (573) 636-2424
