Obituary: Glenora Kay "Glennie" Goser

Glenora Kay "Glennie" Goser, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Heisinger Bluffs surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 17, 1942, in Jefferson City to the late Leslie and Lullia (Dahms) Groff. She was united in marriage to Harold Goser on August 25, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City. Glennie was a 1960 graduate from Jefferson City High School, who went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in Library Science from the University of Missouri in 1963. She worked at Webster Groves Public Library from 1981 until 1989, at which point she took a position at the St. Louis County Library where she worked until her retirement in 1999. Glennie loved antiquing, genealogy, reading, and gardening. Throughout the years she enjoyed participating in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Heisinger Bluffs Auxiliary, the Collectors Guild, the Trinity Lutheran Missionary League, the Cultured Pearls, and the Happy Drifters. In addition to the previous named organizations, she also enjoyed being a part of the Cole County, Osage County, and City of Jefferson Historical Societies. She is survived by her husband, Harold Goser of Jefferson City; one daughter, Lisa Terry (Mark); three sons: Eric Goser (Sarah), Clay Goser, and Ryan Goser (Danielle); one sister, Gloria Thorne (Robert); and 12 grandchildren: Logan, Dylan, Drew, Dane, Dalton, Delanie, Hannah, Madeline, Mason, Meredith, Chloe, and Henry. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Sam Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Calvary Lutheran High School.
