Elaine Viola Outz

Elaine Viola Outz, 82, of Holts Summit, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on September 8, 1936 in New Jersey, a daughter of Onni and Esther Kuitunen. She was united in marriage to Calvin Kirk Outz in 1959. Elaine graduated from Weehawken High School in Secaucus, New Jersey. She was a one-of-a-kind homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Homemakers Club, the Classy Red Hatters Club and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Elaine also was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church in Holts Summit. She put a lot of passion into her sewing and crocheting. Most of all Elaine enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her son: Robert (Gina) Outz of Holts Summit; daughters: Cheryl Outz of St. Peters, Susan Reller (Tom) of Burnsville, Minnesota and Rebecca Belt (Daniel) of Kingsport, Tennessee; brother: Roy Kuitunen (Viva) of Aurora, Minnesota; grandchildren: Crystal of Burnsville, Beth Ann of Jefferson City, Brandon (Amelia) of Portland, Sami of San Marcos, Steven of Waynesville and Faye (Flynn) of Burnsville; great-grandchildren: Bentley, Audrey, Marissa and Vivian; and her loving dog companion: Charlie. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son: William Kirk Outz; and brother: Onni William Kuitunen Jr. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Rev. Michael John Diener officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
