Adam Ryan Paulson, age 36 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at his home. Adam was born on June 15, 1982, in West Plains, Mo., the son of John Robert and Cynthia Marie (Bohne) Paulson. Adam was a 2000 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Linn State Technical College studying landscaping. He was employed with a number of restaurants as a cook in both Jefferson City and Linn, Mo. More recently, he was working at ABB and Scholastic. Adam had an ear for music, whether he was strumming his guitar or enjoying a favorite song, his soul was happy when filled with a tune. He liked to play video games and frisbee golf and was always up for taking the occasional trip to West Plains, Mo. or a summer getaway to Wisconsin. Adam took every chance he got to cheer on his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. He had an infectious smile, was always easygoing and filled any room with laughter. He was kind, caring and had a big heart; but above all, Adam loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his son, Ryan. Survivors include: one son, Ryan Paulson of Bland, Mo.; his mother, Cynthia Tandy (husband John) of Jefferson City, Mo.; his father, John Paulson (fiance Debbie) of West Plains, Mo.; one sister, Lindsay Ozisik (husband Sercan) of Columbia, Mo.; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Paulson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; one step-sister, Brianna Crosson (husband Bill) of Springfield, Mo.; three step-brothers, Bowdy Schrader of Suffolk, Va., Paul Tandy (wife Michelle) of St. Louis, Mo. and Mark Tandy (wife Sandra) of El Paso, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Paulson; his maternal grandparents, Edward and Violet Bohne; one step-brother, Brett Stoddard; and one cousin, Diane Koopman. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Mo. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the First Baptist Church with the Reverend Melissa Hatfield officiating. Private entombment will be held at the Columbarium of Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Ryan Paulson Educational Fund.
