Stevie Shivers

Stevie "Steve" Shivers, 69, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at his home. He was born on July 20, 1949, in California, Missouri, a son of Delmar and Bertha (Percival) Shivers. He was united in marriage to Libby Jane Niedner on April 28, 1984, at Trinity Lutheran Church. After high school Steve joined the Army and proudly served his country for 10 years. He was stationed in Germany and Korea. When he returned to civilian life, he attended Nichols Career Center and studied electronics. He went to work for the Department of Corrections and was a maintenance supervisor for Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center until he retired in 2009. Steve loved being outdoors especially fishing and canoeing with his family. He is survived by his wife: Libby Shivers; children: Jim Shivers (Mindy) of Jefferson City, Chelsea Holtmeyer (Brandon) of Jefferson City, and Stephanie Huskey of Jefferson City; grandchildren: Jeremy and Ryan Shivers, Alyssa Huskey, and Emma and Logan Holtmeyer; great-grandchildren: Jordan and Brady Shivers and Dean and Ariel Thomson. Steve is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Jim and Lee Shivers. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Graveside Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery, 7150 St. Rd. A, Linn Creek, Missouri 65052.
