Betty (Broker) Trippensee, 75, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on February 6, 1944, in Frankenstein, Missouri, a daughter of John and Gertrude (Kremer) Broker. She was united in marriage to Ronald Trippensee, on September 12, 1964, in Frankenstein. Betty was a wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was strong in her Catholic faith and was known to begin each day with her prayers and reciting the rosary. She loved working in her garden and was known to say "pulling weeds made her happy". Betty loved being outside, whether planting flowers, picking strawberries, baking cookies, driving her zero-turn mower, weed eating or taking her "grand-dogs" to the park for a walk. She was a country girl to the core! She was a caregiver, who took excellent care of her husband Ron, daughter Connie, and her mother, Gertrude. She worked multiple jobs at the same time, Construction of Industry Laborers Welfare, until her retirement. Betty didn't really understand the meaning of "retirement" so she continued working for Meadow Ridge Trains and Hobbies and the Best Western Inn. Through these "jobs" she met many new and lasting friends. She was more than a "hard working" country girl, she was the glue that held her family together. She was more than a mom and grandma, but a best friend. The one that was there to talk to, hold you, comfort you, get you out of jail, and always be second to them. She sacrificed a lot out of love for her family. She is survived by her children: Carla Doty, Curtis Trippensee (Renee), Connie Trippensee, and Chris Trippensee (Meghan); grandchildren: Tyler (Jordan), Elizabeth (Toby), Leighton, Sidney, Hunter and Hayden; great-grandchildren: Kaden and Chase; siblings: Elmer Broker (Gerry), Mary Alice Stokes (Bill), Agnes Kever (Leonard) and Cathy Borgmeyer (Virgil). Betty was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019, at St. Francis Xavier Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 16, 2019, at St. Francis Xavier Church with Fr. Michael Penn officiating. Inurnment is private for the family. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Connie Trippensee Trust. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109 (573) 636-3838.
