Katheryn Lucille Stokes, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Oak Tree Villas surrounded by her children. She was born November 7, 1927, in Luystown, Missouri, the daughter of George and Anna M. (Oidtman) Boes. She was united in marriage at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City, on April 17, 1948, to Robert Martin Stokes who preceded her in death on January 9, 2000. Katheryn a 1945 graduate of St. Peter High School in Jefferson City. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph; 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Auxiliary; Lioness Club; Janus Club; St. Mary's Auxiliary; and Meadow Lake Country Club. In earlier years, she was a faithful Boy Scout den mother for her four sons and volunteered in the school cafeteria. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, shopping, walking at the mall, boating, and bowling. Survivors include four sons, Roger (Donna) Stokes; Tom (Mary) Stokes; Neil (Debbie) Stokes; Mark (Christine) Stokes; all of Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Mandy (Famous) Lewis, James (Elizabeth) Stokes, Matt (Stephanie) Stokes, Stephanie Stokes, Elizabeth (Robert) Schollmeyer, Brad K. Stokes, Andrew (Stephanie) Stokes, Schelle Stokes, Alison (Brandon) Dorge; nine great-grandchildren, Chase Lewis, Gavin Stokes, Harper Stokes, Daphne Stokes, Gracelynn Stokes, Isabel Stokes, Lukas Stokes, Aaliyah Gregory, Jameson Schollmeyer; and a brother, William (Norma) Boes, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, a brother, Nelson (Opal) Boes, and a sister, Norma (Wilfred) Kraus. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Louis M. Nelen officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Catholic Mausoleum.
