Kathyrn Christine Malone

Kathyrn Christine Malone, 89, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center, surrounded by family. She was born on September 27, 1929, in Maries County, Missouri, the daughter of Louis and Rose (Bauer) Wenzel, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on December 5, 1957, in Vienna, Missouri to John Tyler Malone, who preceded her in death. Kathy commenced her professional career as a stewardess with Lake Central Airlines, married, and enjoyed life as a homemaker and mother of three children. She was known as "Nana" to those who loved her and knew her well, which was just about everybody. She is survived by two daughters: Pam Malone and Carla Malone Steck, both of Jefferson City, Missouri; six grandchildren: Jamie (Eric) Wehnes, Johnathan Motes, Kathryn Motes, Tyler (JuAn) Motes, Anthony Steck, Ian (Cortni) Steck; two great-grandchildren: Ethan McBaine (the light of her life) and the newest addition, Raelynn Steck. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Jeretta Motes; one sister: Olivia Stratman; and three brothers: Roy Wenzel, Arnold Wenzel, and John Pat Wenzel. Private family services will be held in Vienna Missouri at a later date.
