Bobby Lee Wilbers

Bobby Lee Wilbers, 89, of Holts Summit, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 10, 1930, in Jefferson City, a son of the late Leo B. and Buena A. (Hassler) Wilbers. Bobby was united in marriage on October 9, 1948, to Rosemary Bungart. Bobby was a well-known Callaway County farmer. He would custom bale hay for many farms in the Missouri River bottoms and surrounding areas. Bobby enjoyed hunting but cherished the memories created with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with his wife of 70 years, he is survived by his daughters: Sandra Rackers (Joe) and Cheryl Korsmeyer (Tom), both of Holts Summit; son: Michael Wilbers of Holts Summit; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Stephen Wilbers and Timmy Wilbers; and grandson: Kyle Korsmeyer. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Holts Summit with Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at St. Andrews Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph S. Corel officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrews Catholic Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Andrews Kitchen Renovation Project.
