Mary Jane Kolb, 90, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at Adams Street Place, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 3, 1929, in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Enloe) Upschulte. She was united in marriage to Joseph A. Kolb on September 2, 1950, in Jefferson City. Mary Jane is a 1947 graduate from St. Peters High School in Jefferson City. She was employed as a clerk for Scruggs-Guhleman Lumber Company from 1947 to 1952. Mary Jane worked as a clerk for the Missouri State Highway Patrol from 1954 to 1960. She worked for Joe Kolb Insurance for 35 years, where she retired in 1995. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality at St. Stanislaus in Wardsville. Mary Jane enjoyed cooking and was a talented seamstress. She labored many hours creating beautiful quilts. She and her husband, Joseph, were avid antique collectors and had many figurine series including Precious Moments. Most of all, Mary Jane cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Diane Kolb (Ray) of Jefferson City, Dr. Lisa Kolb Waggoner (Hugh) of Jefferson City and Richard Kolb of Wardsville; brother: Bernard Upschulte (Nancy) of Jefferson City; grandchildren: Zachary Kolb and Henry Waggoner; and great-granddaughter: Billie Lee Kolb. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; son: Dennis J. Kolb; and granddaughter: Ciera A. Kolb. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Ignazio C. Medina officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Mausoleum.
