Chanda Kay (Lewis) Foster, 70, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. She was born July 16, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Cramer and Helen Lewis. She was married September 3, 1971, to Franklin "Frank" Foster who survives at the home. Chanda was a school teacher for almost 40 years. She began her career in the St. Louis area and then taught at California R-1 School District from 1978, until her retirement in 2010. She is also survived by her daughter, Rachelle (Bryan) Dunlap, Jefferson City; two grandsons, Foster Dunlap and Paul Dunlap; and one brother, Kent Lewis, St. Louis. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
