Frederic Morris Hobbs

Frederic Morris Hobbs, 56, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at his home. Fred was born in Jefferson City, Mo. on October 31, 1962. He attended Jefferson City Public School and was member of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Fred worked in demolition and tree service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, time with family and friends, westerns and action movies, old time rock-n-roll, roller skating and riding motorcycles . Fred is survived by seven siblings and their spouses: Ida Branson, Larry Moad (Brenda), Bonnie Clarkston (Roger), Rebecca Mankin (Casey), Gary Hobbs (Athena), Danny Hobbs, and Marsha Smith-Hobbs (Herb); and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bonnie Hobbs; brothers, Doyle and Bobby Moad; and sister, Debbie Distler. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 3 p.m. at 6 Lyons Road, Eldon, MO 65026. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Noble Eagles, 1007 South Locust, Eldon, MO 65026. This organization's philosophy is Love of Country and Community, both of which meant so much to Fred.
