Rebecca Marie Sherman

Rebecca Marie Sherman, 37, of Chamois, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on August 5, 1981, in Hermann, a daughter of James Nelson and Lorraine Regina (Gilbert) Wright. Rebecca was a 2000 graduate of Chamois High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Central Methodist University in Washington, Missouri. Rebecca worked for Dr. Neil LaPointe before turning her passion for helping others to hospice care at St. Mary's. She enjoyed "A Christmas Story" but cherished the times spent with family, friends and especially her children. She is survived by: her two children, Hayden Olivia Sherman and Kinsley Arabella Sherman, both of the home; parents, James and Lorraine Wright of Chamois; sisters, Tonya Rush (Jason) of Lee's Summit and Jennifer Wright of Chamois; grandmother, Lorraine Regina Gilbert of Chamois; nieces, Lillian Marie Wright and Madison Lorraine Wright and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, I. William Wright and Gladys Wright and an uncle: David Gilbert. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Chamois Lions Club. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
