Harry D. Floyd, 77, of Holts Summit, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born on July 8, 1941, in Hartville, Missouri, a son of the late Darrell and Alice (Jones) Floyd. Harry was united in marriage to Jane Kirtlink on July 17, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Rolla High School. Harry served his county for six years as a member of the Missouri National Guard. He was a self-employed contractor. Harry was a huge fan of NASCAR racing and enjoyed local dirt track racing. Harry and Jane traveled often and recently started spending winters in Arizona with their dogs, Molly and Austin. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with his wife of 43 years, Jane, he is survived by his son: Michael D. Floyd of Holts Summit; daughters: Lori Kirtlink and Lisa Kirtlink-Prettyman, both of Fulton; brother: Larry Floyd (Jimmie) of Claremore, Oklahoma; sister: Janet Scruggs of Rolla; four grandchildren: Leslie Veltrop (Michael), Zachary D. Prettyman, Sarah Jane Prettyman and Caleb M. Prenger; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother: Charlie Floyd. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Slater-Millard Funeral Home in Holts Summit, with a eulogy by Pastor Joe Gregory at 5:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Heart Association.
