Raymond Noel Kalfus

Dr. Raymond Noel, Kalfus, 94, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan, Missouri. He was born July 11, 1924, in Monte Ray, California, the son of the late George Raymond and Everil Sedalia (Hutchinson) Kalfus. He was a graduate of Carmel High School in Carmel, California in 1942; received a two-year degree following World War II from Pasadena City College; earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1970, from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Kalfus served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was united in marriage on August 11, 1951,in Las Vegas, Nev., to Betty Everil Kalfus who preceded him in death on May 21, 2007. Dr. Kalfus worked with several dentist before becoming the Chief Dental Officer for the Missouri State Penitentiary for over 20 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Kalfus. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. David Henry officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
