Jerald G. Atkin

Jerald G. Atkin, 89, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019. He was born on February 23, 1929, in Olean, Missouri; a son of John and Mayme (Scott) Atkin. He was united in marriage to Billye Lea Waham on July 3, 1948, she preceded him in death. Jerald was a 1947 graduate of Eldon High School. After graduation he joined the Army and served his country for two years. For 17 years he worked at Royal Crown Cola before taking employment with Chesebrough Ponds. He retired in 1989 after 24 years of service. Jerald is survived by his sons: John and K. Mitchell Atkin of Jefferson City; grandsons: John and Jerry Atkin; great-granddaughters: Kellie, Megan and Abby Atkin. He was preceded in death by his wife and an infant son. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Olean Cemetery.
