Berniece Ann Schulte, age 88, of St. Anthony, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Miller County, on September 9, 1930, daughter of the late John and Mathilda (Lindenbusch) Rehagen. On August 23, 1949, in St. Anthony, Berniece married Harry Frank Schulte, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1994. Berniece was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She is survived by six daughters, Elizabeth "Liz" Holtmeyer (Leonard) of St. Elizabeth, Helen Otto (Pat) of St. Elizabeth, Joyce Wieberg (Norbert) of St. Anthony, Doris Kliethermes (Dennis) of St. Anthony, Joan Dickneite (Alfred Jr.) of St. Elizabeth and Carol Falter (Jim) of Argyle; four sons, Richard Schulte (Starla) of St. Anthony, Dennis Schulte (Marie) of St. Anthony, George Schulte (Susan) of Dixon, and Jerome Schulte of Eldon; 45 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren on the way; two daughters-in-law, Christy Schulte and Rita Hagenhoff; two brothers, David Rehagen and James Rehagen, both of Jefferson City; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Gene Schulte and Paul Schulte; two daughters-in-law, Cathy and Pat Schulte; granddaughter, Brittany Schulte; four brothers, Leonard Rehagen, Norbert Rehagen, John Edward Rehagen, and Arnold Rehagen; and one sister, Alverna Buechter. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony with Fr. James Finder officiating. Interment will be held in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, August 20, at the St. Anthony Parish Hall. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
