Richard A. "Dick" Boehm

Richard A. "Dick" Boehm, 67, of Jefferson City, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at St. Mary's Health Center, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 7, 1952, in Jefferson City, a son of the late, Felix and Viola (Schnieder) Boehm. He was united in marriage to Beverly Wunderlich on July 13, 1990, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Richard was a 1970 graduate of Fatima High School. Soon after he joined the Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to central Missouri and raised a family. For many years Richard was the foreman at John Deere and he and his wife ran their own business, Capital City Lawn Care. When he wasn't working on a John Deere or cutting grass, he loved boating at the Lake of the Ozarks and traveling to his second home in Negril, Jamaica. He also enjoyed spending time on his family farm, playing cards and deer hunting. But above all else, he loved spending time and making memories with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Richard was a life long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rich Fountain. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly: children: Jesse Boehm (Jennifer), Joy Peal, Travis Wunderlich (Tracy), and Elizabeth Russell (Christopher); siblings: Robert Boehm (Ann), Patricia Stuckenschneider (Dale); Jim Boehm (Debbie) Steve Boehm (Joyce) and Bill Boehm (Agnes); grandchildren: Clara Boehm, Alexia, Lilly and Madison Peal, Paige, Jordan, and Larah Russell, Nolan, Colin, Korbin, and Ethan Wunderlich, and Kelsey Woodward; great-grandchildren: Cooper Shuck, Laykin Neal and Karahlyne Olsen (coming in September). Family and Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Memorial service, with military honors, will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Inurnment will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Martin's Catholic School. Memorial service, visitation, prayer service and partial inurnment at the parish cemetery will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rich Fountain, on Saturday, August 17, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109 (573) 636-3838.
