Edith Maxine Seales, 78, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. She was born on September 29, 1940, in Anderson, Missouri, a daughter of Harry Edward and Mary Ellen (Parmenter) Howard. Edith was united in marriage to the late Milton D. Seales Jr. on April 2, 1960, until his passing in 2003. Edith was later engaged to the late Paul H. Meyer and they shared 15 years together until his passing earlier this year. Edith attended and graduated from Anderson High School in 1948. She was a real estate agent in the Jeff City area since 1975, and was a secretary for the Public Service Commission. She was a member of First Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was also a proud member of the Eagle's Club. Edith loved spending time with family and friends, playing the piano, dancing, playing cards, and shopping. She is survived by her children: Alan Jeffery Seales of Jefferson City and Marcelle Delores Fuller (Paul) of Jefferson City; grandchildren: Chelsea Brea Foster (Wade) and Alyssa Louise Mincke (Stephen), Zachary Alan Seales (Megan) and Mallory Danielle Seales; great-grandchildren: Rhett Zachary Seales and Charlotte Maxine Mincke. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Milton D. Seales; long-time partner, Paul H. Meyer; parents and 12 brothers and sisters. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle Sager officiating. Entombment will be immediately following service at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society and Hospice.
