Mark R. Schnieders, 63, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at St. Joseph Bluff. He was born on October 14, 1955, to Paul and Mildred (Bax) Schnieders. On July 15, 1978, Mark was united in marriage to Sandy Kramer in Rich Fountain. Mark graduated from Blair Oaks High School in 1974. He had many passions such as fishing, bowling, duck and goose hunting and traveling. He was the owner of Rainbow Lanes/Hook's from 1984 till March of 2015 when it burned down. He was currently the owner of Hook's Double Play. He was a lifetime member of B.A.S.S., USBC/Capital City Bowling Association, Jefferson City Bowling Association Hall of Fame, Elks 513, Knights of Columbus Council #7194, American Legion Post 5 and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy, who just celebrated 40 years of marriage; one son, Jonathan Schnieders; daughter, Melanie (Chris) Massman; one granddaughter, Clara Massman; four brothers: Jim (Roberta) Schnieders, Steve (Patty) Schnieders, Phil (Mary Jo) Schnieders, Sam (Leslie) Schnieders; and one sister: Paula Eynard. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Terese. A Prayer Service will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2018, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Fr. Charlie Pardee officiating. Inurnment will follow in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family for medical expenses.
