Richard Dale "Rick" Moore Jr, 65, of Osage Beach, formerly of California, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, at his home. He was born on July 22, 1952, in Independence, Missouri to Richard Dale Sr. and Barbara Jean (Morgan) Moore. Rick graduated in 1970 from Raytown High School. He was united in marriage to Ginger Kyle Cummings on November 4, 1978, at Lake Ozark Christian Church. From a young age, Rick started following Kansas City professional sports teams (Chiefs and Royals), and stuck with those teams through their ups and downs. As a family, the Moores enjoyed watching Mizzou sports, and became football season ticket holders. After moving to California he became a strong Pintos fan-even was the announcer for Pinto's football for several years. Rick enjoyed playing Rugby with various Rugby Clubs, and everything that involved the outdoors. He spent countless hours attending activities in support of his wife and daughters, and loved being "Poppy" to his grandkids. Rick had a brain full of useless knowledge, and a story for everything. Rick is survived by: three daughters, Morgan Elizabeth Fulks (Lance), of Latham, Mo., Molly Kyle Degen (Mike) of Kansas City, Mo. and Mary Kate Moore (Adam Murphy) of Kansas City; three grandchildren, Kolten and Isabella Fulks, both of Latham and Nellie Kyle Degen of Kansas City; one sister, Connie Antone (David), Blue Springs, Mo.; one brother, Mike Moore of Raytown, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Carol Cummings-Bassett(Bill Bassett); one sister-in-law, Mary Kay Quiett, Lake Ozark, Mo. and several nieces; nephews and many friends. Rick was preceded in death by: his wife, Ginger Moore on July 27, 2015; his father, Richard D. Moore; his mother, Barbara J. Moore; and his father-in-law, Jess Cummings. The family will receive friends at California United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 1 - 3 p.m. Memorial services will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Eugene Moeller officiating. In lieu of fresh flowers, memorials may be made to the Ginger and Rick Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Central Bank 329 S Oak St., California, MO 65018 or California United Methodist Church, 201 S.
