Anthony Belfiore Jr., 81, of Henley, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born January 7, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Vitale) Belfiore Sr. Anthony was a 1956 graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis. On October 8, 1960, Anthony was united in marriage in St. Louis, to Joan F. Verstringer, who survives at their home. Anthony worked for Sigma-Aldridge Chemical Company from 1963 until his retirement in 1996 as IT Supervisor. He was a veteran of the Missouri Army National Guard from 1956 until 1964, where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. Anthony enjoyed archery and was a member of the South County Archery Club. He also enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, working on small engines, crocheting, doing word search puzzles, feeding the hummingbirds, and going to the Sam B. Cook Healthplex. Anthony is also survived by two sons: Anthony Belfiore III (wife Donna) of Henley, Mo.; Jeffrey E. Belfiore (wife Tamera) of House Springs, Mo.; a brother: Joseph Belfiore of O'Fallon, Mo.; a sister: Rose Schnitzer of St. Louis County, Mo.; two sisters-in-law: Norma Belfiore (Frank) of St. Charles, Mo.; Dorothy Schenk (Richard) of Ellisville, Mo.; four grandchildren: Kathy Ann Belfiore, Nicholas Anthony and his wife Marie (Looten) Belfiore, Vincent Anthony Belfiore, and Thaddeus Salender Jr.; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents: Josephine and Anthony Belfiore Sr.; two brothers: Frank Belfiore and Domiano Belfiore; a sister-in-law: Janet Belfiore (Joe); and a great-grandson: Anthony Joseph "A.J." Belfiore. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, with a Prayer Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Huntington Disease Society.
