Kenneth Ray Huber

Kenneth Ray Huber, 73, of Westphalia, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at his residence. He was born December 3, 1944, in Jefferson City, the son of the late George Carl and Goldean Irene (West) Huber. He was a 1962 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia. Ken served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1964-1967. He served in Vietnam from August 1965 to March 1966. He was united in marriage on February 3, 1968, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City to Lorene "Lori" Veltrop who survives at the home. Ken worked for over 30 years at Central Dairy as a route salesman retiring in 2001. He previously was employed with Central Hatchery, Eggen Tire Service, Industrial Aviation and Don Cure Construction. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia and was a life member of the Marine Corps League. Ken had a good sense of humor and enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, baking cookies, and contributing to education (playing the lottery). Survivors include his wife, Lori Huber, Westphalia; four sons, Kevin (Dee) Huber, Kurtis Huber, Keith Huber, Kristopher (Tammy) Huber, all of Westphalia; six grandchildren, Kaylie, Chase, Garret, and Trenton Huber, Olivia Vieth, and Kolby Huber; two sisters, Mary Wilde, Westphalia; Susan Huber, Westphalia; and one brother, Paul (Shelley) Huber, Rex, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gilbert, Gerald "Butch", and James Huber; and a brother-in-law, David Wilde. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Friday, March 23, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Anthony J. Viviano officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Renovations Fund, Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Joseph Catholic School, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
