James 'Jim' L. Wilmeno, age 78, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1939, in Jefferson City, a son of the late Leo Willmeno and Mamie 'Manes' Willmeno. Jim was a property manager for many years. He was a proud volunteer for the Salvation Army for over 30 years. He enjoyed antiquing, traveling, volunteer work, and caring for his special pet: Lady. Jim is survived by two daughters: Linda Luther of New Bloomfield, Charlotte Wilmeno of New Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Jane Backes of Jefferson City, Betty O'Neil of Fulton, Jackie Surface of Jefferson City; one brother: Herbert Willmeno Sr. of Jefferson City; his loving and caring companion: Roberta Gibbs; and Debbie Wilmeno. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Jean Bonnot, Bonnie Hoglan, Marilyn Bunch. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 14, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Old Paths Baptist Church - St. Mary's Blvd., Jefferson City, MO. with Pastor Allen Golden officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under he direction of TYLER M.
